The 2009 Fall Brawl at Myrtle Beach, SC would be an epic battle between man and mother nature. On saturday, the first day of qualifying would prove to be a TKO by mother nature, forcing the Badlands crew to move the qualifying to the final day on sunday.

After not having any track time all weekend, I would enter the 1st round late due to electrical problems. I finally got on the clock about a minute into the race only to finish 9th out of 11. This was unfortunate because I posted the 2nd quickest lap time only .3 sec behind racing phenom Barry Pettit. The track would then get very slick as the racing continued throughout the day. I would struggle with set up and lack of essential track time and try to find an answer on how to get my car to work.

The Badlands crew decided to create triple A-Mains for the 1/8 electric guys where I would go on to place 5th, 7th, and 4th for 6th place overall. Not too bad considering this was only my 2nd race ever with my new Losi 8ight-E 2.0! A big thanks goes out to the crew at Badlands R/C Supercross for doing an outstanding Job getting the track ready for racing after raining out the first day!
