Dollar Hobbyz Spec 2wd Slash Class Rules

This Class is for the high CG RTR Version or Unassembled Kit Version of the Vehicle as shipped by Traxxas.

The idea is to limit the amount of hop-ups or modifications to the factory supplied vehicle to control costs.

Body: All trucks must use a truck based short course body. No VW Bug or car bodies allowed.

Chassis: No modifications may be made to the chassis system. Vehicle must be raced in its stock form.

Suspension: Both the front & the rear suspension arms must remain in stock form. No aftermarket suspension or steering components may be installed other than the following items to improve durability (we want everyone to finish a race)...
• RPM rear hub carriers
• Traxxas steering bellcrank set (part #TRA6845X)
• Traxxas aluminum shock caps (part #TRA3767 – various colors)

Original steel or aluminum metal parts on the vehicle may be upgraded (shock shafts, hinge pins, springs, etc)

Bearings: Any manufacturer Bearing may be used.

Electronics: Any brushed or brushless esc may be used with the stock Titan 12T 550 motor. You may install any servo or receiver that you so choose.

Motor: This class is restricted to a stock Traxxas Titan 12T R/C motor.

Battery: This class is limited to any 6-cell (7.2 volt) or 7-cell (8.4 volt) "Nicad", “Nimh” battery, or any 2-cell lipo battery pack. Pack voltage is limited to 8.4v for racing.

Wheels: Original Traxxas Slash 2.2” wheel/tires in kit compound (S1 Traxxas compound tires are not allowed). Original Slash tread, Kumho tread, or BF Goodrich tread patterns only. Tape or glue is allowed on the front tires to minimize traction rolling.

Drive line: Only the original Traxxas Drive Train may be used. No aftermarket or hopup replacement drive components may be installed.

Traxxas Steel Planetary Gear Differential Only. Any of the 3 Traxxas spur gears (4683, 4686, or 8690) are permitted. Any pinion gear that mounts without modifications needed may be used. Ball Differential is NOT permitted in the Spec Class

** Please note: To avoid damage to the racing surface, a small screw must be added to the rear bumper mount of the truck. If you’re not familiar with this modification, please bring your truck to the sales counter for help.
