The Kootenai RC Racers are proud to announce that, for their ninth annual Hot August Showdown race event, champion RC racing power duo Adam and Ronda Drake will be in attendance.

Adam and Ronda have a wealth of RC racing and vehicle setup experience and have traveled all over the world attending both on-road and off-road races.  Sponsored by Mugen Seki, Adam and Ronda also run their own online shop and performance RC engine break in and tuning service.

Adam will be giving a two-part drivers’ clinic on the evening of Thursday August 5^th and the morning of Friday August 6^th.  This clinic will cover walking the track to discuss layout, suggested driving lines, vehicle review and general setup help, live racing critiques, and Q&A sessions. After the drivers’ clinic, Adam and Ronda will be racing in the Hot August Showdown with local and regional racers.

Drivers' Clinic Schedule:

• Thursday, August 5th - 6pm to 9pm

5pm - Open pits for drivers to setup and prepare for the track walk and vehicle clinic
6pm - Track walk with Adam to discuss the layout, driving lines, and general discussion
6:30pm -Q&A session with the option to look over vehicles and help with general set up, linkages, tire selection, etc.

• Friday, August 6th - 8am to 11am

7am - Open pits for drivers to set up and prepare for the driving clinic. CARS SHOULD BE PREPARED AND READY TO RACE BY 8AM.
8am - Drivers hit the track in groups of 6-8 drivers and get the initial feeling for the track and their setup. Every 8-10 minutes, drivers will swap out and receive a racing debrief from Adam where he will make suggestions of changes and answer questions. Driving clinic continues until 10am.
10am - One hour clinic wrap up and Q&A session.
