Due to COVID 19 and the number of precations and entries we are expecting, the format of this race will be: Friday - Parctice 12:00 noon till ? Saturday - - Last min practice 7:30-8:30am, (Only for individuals that did not practice Friday) 9 am qualifing Sunday - Mains Please sign up in advance (payment for entries will be collected at the track apon arrival) . Full series is 7 rounds, rankings based on best 5 of 7 races. Track will open the Friday before a series race from 12 noon to 9pm for practice. Races will be on Saturdays and Sunday. Gates open 7:00 am on race days. Practice closes at 8:30am on race days. Races start at 9:00 AM. We will be running 1/10 scale gas and electric, 1/8 scale electric and nitro. We will have a Women's class and a Kid's class There will be an awards banquet the following week on saturday Place and time to be announced. There is power on sight for chargers and a pit light you will need extension cords and possibly a splitter. Any other electrical needs will require you to bring your own generator. There is plenty of room for trailers and campers and you are more than welcome to stay the night Friday and Saturday night, again, we just ask that you bring your own power source for campers and trailers. Concession trailer is available on sight for breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday. There are several food and lodging options less than 10 minutes from the track. Shaw's is a family friendly atmosphere where we support each other and help grow the hobby together. We make sure new comers as well as woman and children all feel encouraged to race and have fun. We ask that your actions and language at the track always reflect that mission. Shaw’s RC Raceway Social Distancing Protocol 1) We are following the CDC Recommendations for social distancing. ( www.http//CDC.GOV ) 2) We are following all necessary protocols set in place with Governor Stitt’s Amendment Published on April 22,2020. 3) There will be no common pit area at this time, you will need to bring a tent and/or table and chairs, we will have electric available for charging batteries and lights. (RV’s will need to bring a Generator) 4) Shaw’s has 2 drivers stands, there is a maximum of 5 drivers on each stand. Your stand will be allocated at time of entry, that will stand for both practice and racing! 5) You will still have to corner, Your corner location will be at the min. of CDC Recommendations and is assigned by your location on the heat sheets. 6) Practice will remain open unless we see that CDC Guidelines are not being followed and then we will go to a controlled practice. 7) There will be a maximum set on entries, when you contact us to sign-up we will also need to know how many non-racing people you are bringing with you. 8) The CDC recommends masks and/or face coverage and we agree, while on the stand or pit lane area we will require the CDC recommendations as follows. ( “cover your mouth and nose with a mask or cloth face cover when around others”) Ref CDC.gov Pg.2 9) If you have a temperature or not feeling well, DO NOT ATTEND!!! 10) Obviously, families that have been together through this unprecedent outbreak are welcome to stay together as a group. 11) Our goals are to slowly bring the RC Racing community back together in a safe and responsible atmosphere, If you have concerns please contact a track administrator ASAP! Note from Administrator: Shaw’s RC is a family oriented location, we expect everyone to be responsible and compliant with all rules and regulations. All issues that could arise at this facility should be dealt with by the Track Administrators, No Exceptions.
