The Event
St. Louis Dirtburners is proud to be hosting the 20th anniversary of the legendary Midwest Nitro Challenge, presented by Tekno, on July 15th-17th, 2022.
Brought to you by the St. Louis Dirtburners, home of the Midwest's best off-road RC racing action, and some of the best manufacturers in the industry once again in 2022.
Our facility is completely rebuilt and brand new for this year's Midwest Nitro Challenge. Major updates include a new drivers stand, lighting, sound system, electrical infrastructure, fence and barriers. In addition to new dirt, our track will be professional designed and built.

What to Expect
- Awards will be given to TQ and Top 3 of each class.
- Minimum 10 entries are required to form a new class not already listed in the race flyer.
- Drivers must have NO chassis sponsors to be eligible for Sportsman skill level classes.
- Heats will be re-sorted after Qualifier Round 2.
- Pending weather, track will be ran dry. Historically, we have found the surface forms a dark groove with enhanced traction.
- Personal transpondors are required. (All except black MRT transpondors are compatible)
- Over 175 prizes will be offered. A few of the big ticket prizes are: Tekno 1/8 Scale kit, Protek RM Samurai .21 Nitro Engine and a $350 Ignite Design RC Gift Certificate.
- BBQ vendor will be selling tasty food Saturday and Sunday of the event.

The Facility
Our world class outdoor facility has a large 100ft x 200ft track and a 24ft x 76ft driver's stand, which includes fans, an integrated timing office and pit area outfitted with a monitor to promote team race awareness during intense nitro mains. In addition, Dirtburners offers ADA amenities such as handicap parking, 90 foot long wheelchair access ramp and a wheelchair compatible drivers stand.
