2021 Utah State Championships
Utah State Championships, held on one of the highest natural grip tracks in the Country Eaton's Intermountain RC Raceway (IRCR) will be held July 16th and 17th.
With the pandemic nearing its end we realize RC is not the priority in hobbies and things to do as you catch up on everything from the year plus lock down and limitations of the pandemic, which has been evident in turnouts this summer so far. So, for this year only we are hoping a low-cost entry will entice a few more to put RC at the top of their list this summer and join us. $25.00 per class will be a 1 year only entry fee. That’s about 50% savings on first class and about 30% savings on additional class entries over years past and next years rates.
Class options (with the affordable entry cost that means we are limiting the event to just 10 class options to accommodate awards costs)
- Sportsman (2wd only, 21.5turn, buggy, truck, or SC)
- 21.5 Stock Buggy (No sponsors allowed)
- 17.5 Stock 4wd Buggy (No sponsors allowed)
- 17.5 2wd Short Course
- 17.5 Spec Mod Truck
- 17.5 Spec Mod Buggy
- 13.5 Spec Mod 4wd Buggy
- Masters Buggy (17.5 minimum motor)
- Modified Buggy (10.5 minimum motor)
- Modified 4wd Buggy (8.5 minimum motor)
ROAR Rules apply (including new lower buggy and 4wd buggy weights will be allowed) We allow 40amp charge and discharging to 8.44v max voltage. If you show up to tech above 8.50v you will not be allowed to run that round. If you are at 8.45-8.49v you will be allowed to run off the excess voltage. Temp cannot exceed 120°f. Masters and Modified are excluded from blinky mode requirement.
There will be a 1 time $15 late fee for anyone who signs up after July 3rd. You must make a minimum 1 round of qualifying to enter the event per class. Pits will be first come first serve Thursday the 15th. Practice Thursday not included with entry fee.
Timeline
- Thursday July 15th, Event only practice 2-9pm (not included)
- Friday July 16th, Practice 7:30-9am, Pictures and drivers meeting 9-10am, 3 rounds of qualifying (best 2 of 3 qual points) 10am-10pm (finish depending on entries)
- Saturday July 17th, Practice 7:30-9am, Mains 9:30am-Finish
